A Love Letter to the Fountain Pen

After spending endless hours tapping away at a laptop, shaping thoughts into digital content, I often find myself missing something deeply personal — the art of writing.

No, it’s not about the art of copywriting or content writing that pays my bills, but the kind of art that flows from the heart… with my love for a fountain pen.

I still remember that proud moment in Class III — when I was finally allowed to switch from pencil to pen. And it had to be a fountain pen to learn proper handwriting. Mine was black with a golden lid — I felt like royalty!

Those days feel like a different lifetime now.

My love for fountain pen

But even today, in a world ruled by screens and swipes, I sneak in moments to return to pen and paper. And more often than not, it’s still a fountain pen I reach for.

It just feels right — smooth, effortless, almost contemplative, when I can open up myself into my journals with one of my favourite ink pens.

Oh! Another important thing – it’s sustainable too. So, no more guilt for tossing plastic pens every few weeks.

More than anything, the sensory pleasure of flowing ink while writing, the nostalgic look of the pen and savouring the art of real writing – these are all my quiet escapes from the digital world.

My kind of pleasure. A cherished obsession. A way to truly write.
